Networking
Members have a reputation of being very friendly and willing to share information and resources. You’ll have several opportunities to network by: attending professional development programs, special events or SIG (Special Interest Group) meetings; speaking at a chapter event; joining committees; using the online Membership Directory; and reading the Discovery newsletter.

Professional Growth
We strive to provide high-quality programs on current topics in the training and organizational development field. Members learn by attending professional development programs, SIG meetings, and our Special Events. Members also grow professionally through volunteer assignments that build their leadership skills.

Communication Tools

	Membership Directory: Our on-line directory provides a listing of colleagues around Southeastern Wisconsin with whom you can network. It is continuously updated to provide contact information and live e-mail links to all current members.
	Chapter Newsletter: Discovery, our chapter newsletter, keeps us connected even when our busy schedules prevent us from attending a chapter meeting.

Volunteering
Whether you choose to serve on a committee, volunteer for a project, or serve on the board, we make it easy for you to get what you want out of volunteer assignments. Some of our committees include:

	Programming: Planning programs to meet the learning needs of our members.
	Discovery Team: Writing and editing a professional newsletter loaded with training and development information.
	Membership: Servicing the needs of our current membership and creating ways to attract new members.
	Special Events : Planning socializing/networking, half-day or full-day special events throughout the year.

Meetings
All SEWI-ASTD Chapter members are invited and encouraged to attend the monthly meetings of the Board of Directors. Members are also invited to review copies of the minutes from the Board meetings by contacting the Chapter’s President at: president@sewi-astd.org
