(
8:00-8:25 am Registration; 8:25 am Welcome; 8:30 am Program; 10:25 am Close)
You can add value to your organization by using your natural platform skills to facilitate meetings where leaders or teams (1) discuss important decisions, (2) conduct planning sessions, or (3) work through internal or cross-functional communication and process issues.
As the neutral facilitator, you may be called upon to design the discussion and decision-making process, manage differences and challenging participants, keep the group on task and timeline, and pull together the outcomes. Are you prepared for these responsibilities?
Join us for this practical and thought-provoking “How To” learning opportunity. Leave this session with a deeper understanding of:
- Training vs. Facilitating – differences and distinctions
- Competencies of an effective facilitator. (Hint: It doesn’t include being the Subject Matter Expert.)
- Addressing the Fears of Facilitating.
You will leave this meeting with the tips and techniques to facilitate your way to an invite to the most important discussions within your organization.
Important suggestion: Bring your manager—facilitating can be a two-person job!
Cost:
Members: Included in your membership dues. Your reservation is necessary so we can ensure there are enough materials and refreshments. If the location changes, we will be able to notify only those who have pre-registered. Be sure to log in first in order to receive
the member discount.
Non-members: $40
