 Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in organizational development, with a proven track record of leading project teams and program management.

Position Purpose:

This position will work across HR and with business leaders to achieve results that are directly aligned with the business strategy and goals as well as the global HR vision and priorities. The role will support the design, development, delivery of training, facilitation, leadership development programs, and performance enhancing experiences throughout North America. Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide expert guidance and consultation to HR business partners and organization leaders on training, talent, and development.

Design, develop, and facilitate training and learning to address skill gap needs through the appropriate learning method and authoring tools.

Design and implement appropriate evaluation assessments on deliverables.

Operate and administer the tools, systems, and processes of the Talent Development department, providing reporting or metrics as needed.

Design, develop and implement talent and leadership development programs that align with global and local needs, including developing the candidate selection, and evaluating the program, which includes developing the reporting metrics, KPIs and controls.

Collaborate with HR and business leadership to address talent gaps through the appropriate combination of core learning and development solutions.

Collaborate with Global Veolia, HR, and organizational leaders to implement talent review philosophies, performance management processes and succession planning strategies.

Coordinate and facilitate talent review sessions and discussions to help the organization assess the skills, potential, and development needs of employees to then identify trends and insights in the talent data.

Partner with HR leaders to design, develop, and administer career development initiatives and follow up with the appropriate strengths-focused improvement opportunities, such as assessment programs, mentoring, coaching, training, and other resources to support development planning.

Support the Talent Development Team and other initiatives as needed.

Work Environment:

Hybrid work schedule/environment.

Travel up to 20% in North America.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

BA/BS in instructional design, communications, psychology, or related field.

Master’s degree in adult learning, instructional design, learning technologies, education, or a related field preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred with at least 3 years of Talent Development, Leadership Training, Coaching and/or Consultant experience.

Experience independently managing multiple concurrent projects and working with subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Background working within a global organization.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Consulting and relationship building skills.

Thorough knowledge and experience in the principles of adult learning and talent management strategies.

Experienced trainer and facilitator.

Background in instructional design.

Experience implementing projects and timelines.

Understanding of a variety of evaluation principles.

Strong and effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.

Strong orientation to customer service and demonstrated customer service skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of any and all information encountered.

Articulate Rise preferred.

Summary of Responsibilities

Reporting to the West Bend, Wisconsin office, the Commercial Enterprise Underwriting Trainer is a hybrid position that works in conjunction with the Commercial Enterprise trainers to facilitate technical training for Commercial Enterprise underwriting associates and provide department overview to associates within other divisions. Assist with researching, developing, and organizing level-specific (early, mid and mastery) training curriculum for Commercial Enterprise underwriting needs. Evaluate and implement additional training methods to supplement standard classroom training. Assists with creating and maintaining curriculum within our learning management system. Coordinates guest trainers or subject matter experts (SMEs). Assists with documenting training, assessing effectiveness and progress, reports on progress, and makes changes to training as needed. Presents training materials as assigned. Attend various training and insurance workshops and conferences, and consortium meetings.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 3+ years of commercial multi-line underwriting or equivalent experience
  • Experience in training or training support preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience in adult learning theory preferred
